My Essay on The Barrowers-Kate Coomber

The book the Barrowers by Mary Norton, I think was not a very good book. I thought that it was boring the whole time. I think it could have been better if the author would have put some more exsiting and dramatic detail in it. It also seemed as though the plot was pattern, for the same things kept on happening. So my overall opinion was that it just wasn’t as exsiting as I’d hoped it’d be.

One of the reasons why I said that the plot was like a patter was because, throughout the book there was never any new events going on. For example: in the beginning of the book one of the barrowers gets seen. Then during the next few chapters another barrower gets seen. Another reason is that the two barrowers that get seen they each have interaction with a human even though there not aloud to.

Here is some advice for the author. I Think that Mary Norton shouldn’t have made the barrowers or the boy leave in the end. I think the book should have had a happy ending. I also think that Mrs. May’s(she’s the narrator) brother should have been telling the story to Kate(little girl) because he is the one that saw the barrowers alll along.

So as you can see from my examples, I didn’t like this book very much. Mostly because it was boring. I think it should have been more exsiting,dramatic,and should have had a stronger problem. I think that this book is 2 trees.
