I read this book The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau, which was awesome!!!! I thought this book was going to be awesome and it was! This book was a real well done cliff hanger. This made me want to read past the section that we were supposed to read. I’m going to give you two reasons and evidence on why I love this book so much.
My first reason on why I LOVED this book is when Doon and Lina (the main characters ) go and find this document. That they think has something important on it. A way to get out of the city. But they can’t read it because Poppy (Lina’s little sister) chewed it up. I loved this part because they try to figure it out and they eventually do.
My second reason on why I LOVED this book is when... in the middle of the Singing there is a blackout and at that exact moment (this is the part I LOVED) Lina is up on the mayor’s roof and sees Doon in the blackout. The only reason on why she can see him is he was using the candle and matches that they found in the Pipeworks. So she went tramping down the stairs, running across the plaza. This part gets all dramatic were you don’t know what she’s gonna do next, but your just going to have to read the book to find out what she does!
Those were my two reasons on why I LOVED this book. I would give this book five trees. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves adventure underground. Read it before you watch the movie.
Nice assertion with the evidence to back it up. Please go back and work on the spacing between paragraphs. Great job.
